Balance!

The last element I chose was balance! Balance is more interesting than asymmetrical balance as it shows the different heights in objects. In the first photo you can see the different sizes of the objects. In the second and third photos you can see different lines, shapes, and sizes. All of these are my favorite photographs becuase there is so much going on in all of them however Buddha is still the main object portrayed!

Emphasis!

I chose to work with emphasis as another of my elements. Emphasis was really tricky and hard to capture. I had to take a lot of picture to find the perfect ones to represent emphasis. I am still a little nervous about these demonstrating emphasis however, I can argue that these do indeed represent emphasis in some way. In all of these picutres the first thing that is brought to the viewers eyes is the Buddha statue. My goal was to make Buddha the focal point of all these pictures!

Texture!

The second element that I chose to work with was texture! The Buddha statue that I chose to photograph has many different textures however, to bring out these texture zooming in and capturing the texture close up really brought out the different intresting lines and surfaces. In the first picture you can closely see that the face of Buddha is smooth. The second picture shows that the head of Buddha is a rough surface that has small circular objects that appear on the head. The last picture observes the clothes on the Buddha figure. The clothing texture contains a lot of different lines that shows what type of clothing he is wearing!

Lighting!

One of the elements that I chose to work with was lighting. I feel that lighting is the most interesting element in many ways. Lighting can completely change the mood and feel of a photograph depending upon the time of day, the light source, etc. In my photos above I used the candle as a source of light, outside street and house lighting, and a bedroom light that as you can tell comes off pink from the shade. I feel that the light sources I chose in the first two photos made the object more serious and the last photo the pink reflection of the light made the object more feminine.
